2013-12-12; 10:45am, Thursday. Bright and seasonal? Overcast. Diary: Visiting Sharen, Kensington Art and last rosette coloured. ~~An early Christmas visit with Sharen, an ‘aster’ coloured felt tip pen and the last rosette coloured in.~~ Better late, than never. But it will be short today, because lunch with Herman and Don this time, awaits at noon. Tomorrow lunch with John in the ‘Arts Central’ building, which will be closed and torn down at the end of the month. Yesterday I stopped by to see Sharen, who was sound asleep when I got there. However, she awoke quickly and I gave her my Christmas card and the framed photo of her, which I had taken two weeks ago today. I’d also brought a few Merci chocolates. It was all much appreciated: ‘You are such a good friend’ Sharen then says. And I tell her, she is no less a good friend to me. We have had coffees since 2004 and as proof of the pudding we had a coffee yesterday in the dining room alcove! Leaving Sharen’s home I made my way to ‘Kensington Art Supply’ and bought the intended Aster colour felt tip pen for the flower in the Fall rosette of my mandala. I completed that last rosette last night and am ready to now go over the nooks and crannies of the large figure that still need some attention. Of these the uncompleted five of the eight ‘tongues’ are the main items, but there are several others. I may just spend the next few days to get it all done, now that I am so close to the ‘finish line’. And, a notion is emerging in me to make several prints of the completed mandala and include some with my Christmas greetings. I’ll see how it all progresses. It is time for my check and edit at 11:05, so this is it for now. Writings: ~~None.~~
