Diary: First weekly report:

~~I report on this weeks activities in my new format combining daily entries with essay writing.~~

My plan to combine my Daily Entries with my World View essay worked for this initial week, evidence of which can be found on my website’s home page. On it a link is posted to my new essay ‘My World View 2018’ with the date of the latest version indicated on my home page. I added three sections to the ‘Narrative’ chapter as indicated by the reported dates in the essay. I feel exited about this, since this method has legs finally as journalist say about a story that has potential.

Today though I want to do my diary type report on some activities of this week. On Tuesday morning Elisabeth and I met at the Beano for an animated discussion about quantum actions affecting the health of our body, I sceptical and Elisabeth believing! Before that I had stopped at Reid’s for a pocket agenda. And then at London drugs to look at Adobe’s Photo Elements for a hard copy disk version for this year. Coffee with John in the aft and making a start with my World View essay, which I marked up and posted in the evening - roughly.

Both the work on my essay ‘World View’ and the cleaning and sorting process are the outcome of my New Year’s resolution to ‘create order in my spiritual and material affairs’.

On Wednesday I did my laundry which takes from 8am to noon. I also added to my essay and refined my web posting of it making it accessible from my home page. On Thursday I mailed my card for my brother Okkie’s birthday, ‘did’ the bills, added to my World View essay, transcribed part of Field Note book I (1). In the evening I was surprised by a call from my friend Shirley who hibernated over the ‘festive’ season.

Later on today Herman and I will meet for lunch, now that the weather is more conducive to going out, not that we go that far, but the minus 20dC does discourage the two of us. On Saturday John and I plan to work on my storage area, cleaning it out and reorganise it to make some room for items from my over stuffed bedroom. This will then result in some working space there enabling me to sort and discard all that I have stored in it. I also hope to have time to pay some attention to my computer files, which are still a bit mixed up from my computer switch last fall.

Both the work on my essay ‘World View’ and the cleaning and sorting process are the outcome of my New Year’s resolution to ‘create order in my spiritual and material affairs’. This makes me feel pretty good about myself, because I have made similar attempts in the past, which all stranded like whales on the beach, as we so often sadly hear these days. So far, so good, but this time my effort has legs!
