I hope you enjoy reading

Diary: Activities recounted:

~~While doing my laundry, my activities since last week’s entry are listed:-)!~~

Yes snow is in the forecast for Banff and want comes to Banff may come here, but it will be that heavy wet stuff that only lasts a little.

Last Tuesday I was doing shopping and now I’m doing laundry, which is to say I put the stuff in the proper machine and let it do the work for me.

But, I can still recall scenes of my mother scrubbing away at times when in my teens, 1954. A basin with hot water, a scrubbing board leaning to wards her, as she leaned over it rubbing and brushing. The wringer too was within reach to squeeze the water out and beyond that the cloth line beckoned. This was all done on a sunny day of course, so planning laundry was weather dependent.
This is surprising to realise as I type away here! My laundry load one is due in about half an hour, where the dryer is ready next to it in the basement!

Last Wednesday after our Knox noon meeting, Murray and I had something to eat at SAIT’s ‘Taster Market’. That was a good move as the food competed with the conversation to be better. After I explained my immigrant experience to him, he told me about is origins which are in Saskatchewan; where else, I have come to think over the years since I came here in 1973 from Ontario, of all places!

On Thursday Don and I met at the Kingsland market, while we still can before it closes in mid October. I bought some apples and nectarines which are very good and natural, ripened on the tree. On Friday I had coffee first with John and later with Rene. On Saturday Ina and I met at James on Fourth for an enjoyable conversation with beer and potato skins lasting from three to seven pm!

Cleaning the mentioned mail I came across some of my daily entrees from May 2010! I printed some out, though they are also listed on my website.

Sunday I met with friends at the Palliser and yesterday I read the paper, web news and cleaned our half my mail in my Shaw internet account. The phishing mail I now get in my Shaw web mail account is becoming too much. In addition friends of mine who have Shaw web mail are also getting fishing mail with my name look a likes as front label. So, I have decided to sign on to a secure mail provider recommended by John.

Cleaning the mentioned mail I came across some of my daily entrees from May 2010! I printed some out, though they are also listed on my website. A bit nostalgia I suppose, but also of interest as to what occupied me now over eight years ago. This applies both to the diary and the writings section. The dates are 2010 May 6, 7, 10 and 21. I also printed the presentation notes for my talk on Fundamentalism from around November 16 that year.

Interesting also the writings on Jung’s Transcendental function and I my comment on this some more later on, but laundry calls for now at 9:27am.
