Diary: Library coffee and bookstore visits:

~~Family visits to ShelfLife and ‘The Prow’, coffees and christmas preparations.~~

John just called to meet for coffee. Last Wednesday I visited the New Library and was properly registered with photo id for this coming Wednesday studio visit. This means I’ll have access to the video recording room to which I am new. So, we’ll see.

My Kodak camera refuses to power up which means the end of my photos except for my Blue cell phone, which does take good quality pictures. I may have to switch to video as I have taken most photo scenes that I want; this awareness registered with me that Wednesday. Interesting! Done with taking photos …? I made thousands starting in the fall of 1999 with Oltman, Els her husband now both passed on, sad to say.

Annie picked a graphic novel she spotted at entering the store and said she’d like another book gift card again for this Christmas.

Last Friday coffee I had with John, reordered the kitchen table top and relocated my christmas cards. I had rearranged them during the year and placed in the storage area, which I’d forgotten! Saturday John came down with Annie for coffee at the Perk and then to ShelfLifeBooks where Annie cashed in the card I gave her for Christmas last year. She picked a graphic novel she spotted at entering the store and she’d like another book gift card again for this Christmas.

After this stop we went on to the ‘The Prow’ - as the new nick name for the New Library. There I showed my family some places to look while I lined up my ‘mentor’ - coffee done at 9:24am - who did show, but was unfamiliar with the audio equipment. However, he does know video and we’ll meet Saturday afternoons for the month of December.

On Sunday I met up with my Palliser friends to listen to our leader Herman who had an interesting message titled ‘Evolution of Christmas’. It traced the various celebration throughout history of yearend celebrations. The interesting part for me was the meditation that Herman read, on which I’ll expand under Writings below.

Writings: Poetic inspiration:

~~A poem on the Christ child inspires a new insight about human awareness.~~

Last Sunday Herman read a poem by his late friend Larry Morris from New Mexico, as meditation preceding his own presentation. The poem’s theme was innocence as that is symbolised in the divine Christ child. As I listened to Herman’s reading I noted the combination of ‘divine’ with the event of ‘birth’.

This I then rephrased as ‘awareness of the divine emerges into human consciousness’ is what this birth event illustrates.

As I combined these two concepts I became aware of a new insight that I could see this as the concept of ‘the divine’ being born into human awareness. This I then rephrased as ‘awareness of the divine emerges into human consciousness’ is what this birth event illustrates. The story is there to pass on the knowledge of the new awareness to the generations to follow.

This insight I want to combine with my idea of a few days ago about the truth and value of biblical stories in general. I wrote on this in last Tuesday’s writings section. I first need to print this out before I want to elaborate further combining these two ideas.
