Yesterday from 3:15 to 3:35pm I had a short recording session at the Prow Library. I did not think it was all that successful, until I played it back on my desktop. The sound was clear and of good quality, a far cry from the torturous sounds I hear when using the Sony Handy Cam playback feature. I have to confirm that again coming Saturday, but it looks like that no external microphone will be needed in my case.
That idea was the central concept that emerged in my talk titled “In Search of the Sacred”, presented back in the spring of 2006.
While making an impromptu explanation of my website in that video, it became quite clear that I need to prepare in more detail for that kind of audio; off-the-cuff talk does not convey the message that I want to deliver.
A third aspect emerged from my recording session, combined with my readings last night. It that I should make the concept of ‘Existence Divine’ the starting point for my introductory video on my ‘Talks‘. That idea was the central concept that emerged in my talk titled “In Search of the Sacred”, presented back in the spring of 2006. This new insight has influenced all my subsequent talks, which now number close to fifty and has become more articulated over time.
10:28am, back from putting my last laundry load in and folding the first one.
At the Brookfield food court I had a healthy beaker lunch with mango slurry and granola for 8$$, not cheap but the venue was worth it with its view and decor.
Yesterday I had coffee with Rene at a camped out Good Earth at the Shumir. I traveled from there by #3 to my MD for an annual plus one day check up. Returning from there I stopped downtown to visit ‘The Source’ electronics store for a new memory chip. A 64GB SDXC would set me back about 77$$, so bought the SDHC 16MB chip for 10$$!
Then I decided to explore the food area of the new Brookfield tower that stands where many others were, including the old Herald Press building. There I had a health beaker with mango slurry and granola for 8$$, not cheap but the venue was worth it with its view and decor.
Then it was on to the library for the mentioned recording session. I skipped out of the 6pm mentor session and decided to go home and cook some supper instead. In the evening I uploaded more than half a dozen Daily Entries to my website, which this time went off without a hitch. I checked their presence, printing them to read them later sitting in my easy chair.
Now at 10:43am I’m signing off to make some lunch, listen to the 11am news and then fold the second laundry load.~
