I have been reading and rereading the mentioned essay ‘Beyond Beliefs’ - partially completed work - and become surprised at the analytical and abstract nature of its content. I keep asking myself: Where are the examples and instances illustrating the arguments presented? I almost want to shake myself about this!
Upon second thought, I must have attained a much better understanding of how the ideas from that August 2010 talk and supporting essay, now could be implemented and put to work so to speak. It is indeed this implementation that I am working on for my upcoming talk “My Belief Explored” in late April.
Such implementation or application ideas and urges are expressed in part in my musings and insight relating to my ‘Edifice of religions’ dream. By combining it with the abstract concepts of the mentioned ‘Beyond Beliefs’ rudimentary essay, a strong conviction arises in me about the important and the required work ahead to make ‘wholeness in diversity’ a goal to aim at and work for.

Up until just recently - Edifice dream - really, all these ideas I have been working with and writing about, were all coming to some expression in my talks since early Fall of 2009. Then, at that October the Forth, I spoke on ‘Existence Divine’ the first talk of four, with “Beyond Beliefs’ being the gate closer. At that time I just thought that having identified and expressed these ideas would be all there was to it, in order to move in that direction.
Now, since the mentioned dream, I realise that diversity brings with it conflicts, strive and friction, as well as benefits, beauty and new horizons. Our problem today is to thrive in this given condition of diversity and make it work, such that we can obtain its advantage, but that to do so will be a battle and struggle as we work towards this goal.
It is maybe best described as ‘putting flesh on the bones’, or to put it more formally, to provide the content to the vessel. The latter in the sense that the vessel is like a programme of instruction, which also needs the content of what has to be taught, complete with exercises, practice and internalised content.
I’ll brake down and give an example. When you need to teach a new skill, you start with the general benefit and nature of the application. This is followed by simple start up concepts, facts and practices, possibly with real life examples and results. Once this stage is firmed up, the more complex tasks can be introduced and practiced. Learning to paint or to hang wall paper may help you visualise an instance!

I am looking for a way to round out this discussion. And, upon completing a reread as editor, I think I may just leave it at this for now.
