The towers of down town are hidden in rain clouds and as I took a picture, my camera was unhappy with the available light. On the sidewalk along the front of my place a woman ran, even while she was holding an umbrella! Inclement weather sounds like an understatement in this case. However, Saturday will ride to our rescue, but summer solstice tomorrow may still be rainy.
Today I may meet with Elisabeth in the morning and with Shirley in the afternoon, if things unfold as Shirley planned. Yesterday I visited Sharen, who is always very welcoming.
Sharen likes her a card of Native Indian design showing a Blue Heron transforming into a human being, with a sun on the horizon; I bring a magnifying glass to help her see it. I also brought the little pouch with lavender, which she smelled while it was still in the bag. And we shared some nice fudge I’d brought from the Farmer’s Market in Courtenay. Sharen’s sister had visited for lunch along with David and Belly-Lou.
In the evening I scaled my selected (105 pictures.) trip photo collection to the three standard sizes of display, thumbnail and tiny. I looked at the three formats for presentation, to wit: 090909 gallery, ajax-gallery and annual review. I have decided to try the old ga-[computer interrupted my work here, but the work was saved, so I continue]-llery 090909.
Yesterday I also added up all the bills and the money I spent on my trip. It was quite a bit, but the final figures I have to check today. In addition I did an assessment of my bank and visa account, neither held surprises and looked as expected. This relates to the fact that Derrick may need a bit of assistance for July and August, if and when he is able to get a seat in this year’s summer session at UoVic.
I keep this entry short, because I want to get going on my BC-trip Album of 105 photographs. <8:38am.
