Diary: Predawn webpost photo album catalogues and wordfest:

~~An early availability test of the server, on converting the old catalogue to html5, followed by plans for lunch and dinner.~~

This day I’m quite early, not only here at my station to write, but I have already posted yesterday’s entry earlier on this morning. Last night the external server was not available and I wanted to test it out in the early hours today. It worked, in that yesterday’s Daily Entry is now posted, but not my new full sized photo album as yet; breakfast came first.

But, yesterday afternoon I did complete the conversion of the ‘Swiss Friends’ album from using divisions with classes, replacing them with the HTML5 elements of figure and figcaption. I use the same elements for the catalogue of the albums in a row by row theme display using images and text, replacing the old, albeit efficient, definition list structure.
The old list type catalogue is gone as reported, but the new mosaic type catalogue only has the one mentioned full album so far. But, I wrote about this yesterday and I am no further with that aspect.

Tomorrow John and I will attend a wordfest event in Inglewood, complete with a byte to eat beforehand, as a belated birthday treat for John, all preceded by Friday’s customary lunch with Herman. For today, I plan a walk in the afternoon and the composition of some new photo albums of my recent fall pictures. In addition to these, I also would like to post images of my progress in the colouring of the mandala doodle and of my summer travels and flood photos.

Writings: Beauty thoughts:

~~I differentiate between the brain processes associated with the experience of beauty and the content of that experience as such.~~

I had a walk around the Roxborough across the Mission bridge yesterday, taking some photos of Fall’s handy work and beauty, as we humans experience that.

Last Sunday, also when shooting Fall’s scenes, I asked myself how it is that the summer scenes have less appeal than the ones of the Fall season? I suspect that only an fMRI will give us a definitive answer as to the related brain processes, but as to what it is that we experience as beauty itself, may just remain uncatchable. We can trace the related physical processes, but these say nothing about the content of the experience; we trace the how, while the what remains elusive, unless a human tells us what it is that is experienced. <8:18am.
