Diary: Journey to Standard:

Paraphrasing ‘Journey to Bountiful’ we drive to Standard in memory to our late friend Sharen.

Last Saturday I drove, with three of late Sharen’s friends - Garda, Elisabeth, Ada - as company to Standard to join the family there in an informal gathering in Sharen’s memory. With ample food and drinks, we spent more than two hours sharing stories and experiences about Sharen’s long life.

The roads were clear and the snow stayed up high, so the drive of seventy km was pleasant and smooth. On the foregoing Friday I ended up going to Harper’s Tire after all, which turned out to be a good thing. My pre-bought bulb part number was off by one digit, but they had stock and they brought my tires up to pressure, the right rear being 8lbs low.

Meantime today, the washing machine is working away on the second load and has about 20 minutes to go. Sunday was regular, except that I took the bus on account of the snow.
