Diary: Birthday books physio and notes:

~~Flowers and card delivered, physio completed, new book noted, web postings, email sent and tolerance notes.~~

Yesterday I did manage to get my card and flowers at their destination, for which I got a surprise thank you from Tammy. The traffic at around noon was quite heavy, which resulted a late return, too late for a nap, since I had to see Tim at two pm.

I took the bus down and walked back, stopping by at ShelfLifeBooks for a shelf scan and located ’s new book on ‘A Personal Religion‘. This author wrote the very successful ‘Taking Care of the Soul’ and may have another hit with this one. For me, the book seems too focused on the personal and does not appear - at first scan - to address issues in human society at large.

I’m done with my physio now and had a relaxing afternoon, until it was time to cook. After supper I marked up three Daily Entries and posted them on my web site. I also emailed Derrick with a thank you and a link to old Amiga floppy images being retrieved.

After midnight I made some notes on ideas that I had mulled over in the afternoon, which I will report on under ‘Writings’, below. Later on lunch with Herman, then coffee with John and the rest is open.

Writings: Value framework adaptation stages identified:

~~I pull together most of my central ideas about a human reference framework and order them as stages in a process facilitating change through adaptation, with tolerance in mind.~~

My topic is tolerance again, as it has been for the last little while. However, yesterday I combined it with some of my earlier concepts in my mullings. This I will explain below, but I first want to make clear that the underlying motive is to create a new outlook for the global situation that we - as humanity - find ourselves in. In doing so, I aim to examine our own understanding of our human existence on our planet at this time. Secondly I hope to extract from this understanding some principles that can guide us in the processes of our globalising society.

From my notes of last night after midnight:
2014-04-24; Tolerance.

A ‘new’ dispensation of Tolerance.

  1. The Place, Time, People and Circumstance variables; defining states.
  2. The Boundary situation identified.
    - This is where we encounter the limit of what is consciously known and meet the mystery. Ex: The disappearance of flight MH370!
  3. The new revelation, idea or insight that addresses the boundary situation. This is the result of a search, but needs to be tested for ethics.
  4. Accommodation with the handed down traditions and other reference frame works.
  5. Formulation of the restructuring, perspective and course of action.
This involves examination for robustness, comprehensiveness, adequacy, functionality and reliability.

Further:
There must be a relatedness to the roots and common origins of humans becoming conscious beings, tracing back to ca 60kYa.

The points one (1) through five (5) is the process structure through which the content - of an idea - has to go.

Content is like ‘what an idea is about’ - for example: tolerance within religions, tolerance across religions, human rights and others.

This is when - in the process - we test or examine for:
Robustness, comprehensiveness, inclusiveness, uniqueness, adequacy, necessity, sufficiency, resilience.

End of last night’s notes.
These ideas I intent to elaborate on in the coming days resulting in flowing exposition I hope!
<10:07am and 10:36am~
