This morning I am struggling with MS-Word for tablets, which works differently from the desktop version. In addition, the touch screen function at the edges does not respond well. For example, when I attempted to change the font size from 12 to 14 the dropdown would not appear. Eventually a key stroke queue – ctrl+shift+p – was displayed and that worked.
On the other hand the spell correction works well. On touching the misspelled word a popup displays with suggestion to choose from, very efficient. Also the cursor line with the circle shows you where it is clearly when doing spell corrections. So, live and learn, but that is frustrating at times, when you have a working routine that needs to be changed, yet accomplishes the same objective.
Canada Day Mission AlbumYesterday I had several emails. My sons replied to my Mission Canada Day album, Okkie promised to pick me up on arrival, but Jack let me know that our coffee had to be postponed due to family health concerns. I hope all will turn out for the better and that they can make their planned trip.
Last night I marked up and posted about eight daily entries. These had been written, but not processed since I had been quite busy with my own computer hardware selections and helping Juliet with her story. This week my role was taken by her son, who is visiting.
Tomorrow Michelle and I head out for ‘patio dinner’ and on Sunday I’m invited to Sarah and BJ’s for a byte. So, the ‘inner man’ – physical – is well cared for! John will be visiting his mother this weekend and I may take the opportunity to do some house cleaning Saturday morning. But, such well intended plans have been known to get waylaid!
