The idea that kept my attention so early this morning was that I recalled the structure of the water molecule, as that was taught in the Molecular Chemistr course at UoT in 1962/3. I even remembered the molecule’s dimensions! The water molecule structure is like a hinge opened at the angle of 103 degrees with leg lengths of about one hundreds of a millimeter. The oxygen molecule at the hinge point, with each of the two hydrogen atoms at the end of a leg.
This whole assembly, legs and angle, vibrates with an intensity that depends on the energy state of the water, a little as solid ice and much as steam. In addition this molecule also forms a dipole, with the oxygen being positive and hydrogen ends being negative, because the hydrogen atoms hug the outer oxygen electrons into their much tighter orbits.
…and I wondered at the time what functionality such mental concentration might have, other than as an exercise.
My next thought was that the human body predominantly made up of water, which led me to consider the possibility that we might influence the orientation of the water molecules in our body in some way or other. This lead to my making an association with the Buddhist monks meditating in a cold cave I read about. These monks generated so much heat in their bodies that apprentices went around draping cold wet towels over the monks to cool them down some.
I think this scene was the introduction of the book ‘Power of destructive emotions’ and I wondered at the time what functionality such mental concentration might have, other than as an exercise. In my commensurations this morning I weighed the possibility that such a technique might be used in an attempt to align the water molecule dipoles in the human body. Such an alignment may set up a field, which in turn could form the means with which we humans perceive in an extra sensory sense.
My concluding considerations were centered on the kundalini and chakra phenomenon and its related Yoga meditation. This being a known and defined practice, may in turn lend itself as a starting point for investigation. This appealed to me, because in the summer of 1984 I experienced the chakras and the kundalini myself. It just happened without any particular exercises on my part and occurred in the middle of the day, without disrupting my daily affairs! I treasured the experience, relating it to only one person as I considered it mainly a private affair. [10:45am; break for lunch.]
With my suggestions I attempt to piece together a mechanism through which this influence [on the body] functions.
One final thought remains to be expressed. May be we should consider that the human body harbours a distributed plasma – of water molecules possibly locked on membranes – in addition to the well-established organs, muscles, bones, vessels, cells, fluids and membranes. And that it is through this plasma that we can influence the state of our body.
It is generally acknowledged that the thoughts, attitudes, emotions and perceptions held by a person have an effect on the health state of the body. With my suggestions I attempt to piece together a mechanism through which this influence functions. I realise that much of this is speculation, but it can be investigated, which is the well-worn path to new discoveries, which often start with speculations of a certain kind! So, I guess I’m calling somebody’s bluff!
