Later in the day yesterday, I did a simulated packing of my travel stuff. There is room to spare, but then there is the weight. Fortunately Michelle lend me her weigh scale and I now know that I have some weight to spare as well. The presents also weigh quite a bit and those won’t be coming back. So, that makes me all set for the return trip as well.

…which prompted a “you are popular” …

As I was chatting with Michelle, both Derrick and then John phoned, which prompted a “you are popular” kidding from Michelle. She had dropped by to return my old bicycle tire pump to me, which she found too hard to operate, as I did as well; maybe Rene will be able to handle it.

John and family had a good trip all around with his own family, in-laws and those visited. Derrick will be finishing his summer courses by mid-August and is then heading into his final year of the training as counsellor. What a switch to make at midlife. That takes a lot of courage and conviction, but Derrick as a child was already slow and deliberate when spending his weekly allowance at ‘Tucker Drugs’ on fourteenth street sw.

Thomas also called at around supper time and we’ll meet tomorrow for a coffee and something I’m sure. I also did some admin work for bills and records, but am not finished with that. I also have to finalise my present balance. Hope fully I can consult Tieneke on this later on.

Today is grocery shopping day and I’ll have to make a few final acquisitions in that department. Left undone yesterday was the posting of my daily entries, which I aim to do today from my Apad as a dry run while I still have my desktop near. The same applies to the offloading of my image files from my Canon. So, not time to be bored.
