, Wednesday. Clear, but still dawning light.

I hope you enjoy reading

Diary: Tea for four and laundry:

~~Elisabeth and I enjoyed an exquisite tea with new friends and I reflect on long lasting clothes, as I do laundry.~~

The first laundry load is churning away and due in about twenty minutes. I usually have three loads with some room to spare for an extra, today that is my old jacket. One of the first items I bought at is!

Some times you have a piece of clothing that shows almost no wear; I also have a short sleeve shirt of the same vintage. It comes out of the laundry like it is dry cleaned! Amazing! Without the fashions, we would never have to buy new clothes!

An early infill, which is like a mandala so well designed and is also very comfortable.

Elisabeth and I visited her friends in the Parkdale West area. They live in an early infill that they had built, which is like a mandala so well designed and is also very comfortable.

Living in that house is like a meditation to me and so was our visit, complete with homemade cookies, tea, coffee and a lively conversation. What surprised me was, that Tim and I did not discuss ’s book “Year Zero”, but there was enough to talk about without that topic.

Writings: Searching for artistic expression:

~~I describe how I am closing in on a way to add artistic expression into my life’s activities, as triggered by ‘my impressionistic encounter‘.~~

I am still working on my ‘impressionism episode’. So far it has become clear that I need to add art into my life and as to how I do this, is up to me. That is the sentiment I received from meditating on this. Art with the creative expression that goes along with it, at this time broadens the modes of expressing that I now deploy, which are writing and talks. Time for a new load; next switch in 35 minutes.

In addition to this notion, I also sense that it has to be an activity; it can not just be a passive looking at displayed art or the reading art books. N0, no! I have to do some art expression. But, when I then visualise doing my Left_Hand work, drawing with colour pencils on paper, a certain resistance arises of ‘not that again, do some thing new and different‘.

What comes to mind then, is the use of a digi-pad as I call that. I bought one in Holland back in 2002/3 with the intention to do digital Left_Hand drawings. I could have taken it along, but gave it to Hiltje’s son Wouter at the train station in Amersfoort when he and I said good bye in that last month of my stay during sept/oct 2003.

In retrospect, I could have used it here, but somehow thought I could not on account of the differences in the utility power net voltages. Moreover, it was long before I took up my web design and website in the year 2009. Back in 2003 there seemed to be no reason to hang on to that tablet, which was heavy to boot.

Now I’ll have to investigate this digi-tab idea as to price and capability and test whether this concept has energy or more accurately ‘numinance’, as Rudolf Otto calls it in ‘The Idea of the Holy.

Today, that tablet would make more sense, the more so since we have Canvas available under the HTML5 ‘regime’, which was implemented in 2010. Now I’ll have to investigate this digi-tab idea as to price and capability and test whether this concept has energy or more accurately ‘numinance’, as calls it in ‘The Idea of the Holy’.

I retrospect it is also worth noting that already in Holland - 1999 to 2003, I considered web design and did buy several Dutch books about this, one of which I took back to Canada and found a place my shelves. It is called ‘Webpaginas maken’ by the two , a straight translation from English, 2001. And as I review this, I recall using Dreamweaver in February of 2001 to make my first website, long since abandoned.

So things stirred early on in my retirement, but I had more important emotional and inner work to do at that time. Later on, in 2006 came my journey into the idea of Existence Divine. All that seems to be settled now; I read far less than I used to do and am busy with writing, preparing for my talks. And, last but not least, with the formulating of a belief framework that accommodates the human traditions as these have been handed down.
That will do for now.<9:35am and 10:50am with edit.
