It’s been almost a week since I wrote a daily entry and it feels good to make one again today. The laundry is awaiting my turn at around 10-am, when I’ll see what’s laundring downstairs. We now have new machines, but I have not used them yet.
Last night was our ‘class’ with Herman, which was well attended, with new and familiar faces enhancing the scene. Ron gave me a ride back home this time. We had not met since last spring I think.
In the mean time, after Valentine’s and the family long weekend, I ended up in the dentist chair. What I suspected was borne out and I now have to get two caps put in, which is a pricey affair in. But, Ken is a good dentist and I want to have him do the work sooner rather than later.
So, no fancy trips this year, along with a tight budget! This will keep me from buying stuff I do not really need. It will also be motivation to attend and enjoy the simpler pleasures in life, such as DVDs and books from the library, along with walks in the park, now that the season is getting more pleasant.
Over the weekend I started on the world puzzle that Jeanette lent me, when Elisabeth and I visited there. It took me several days and a rearranging of my living room, but yesterday I laid the last piece! It looks like an impressive whole and the experience was a valuable geography lesson about statehood on this planet.
However the USSR was at the top of its game, which made country geography a whole lot simpler!
Not a piece of land remains unnamed or unclaimed and I discovered some known unknown ones that have been added since I had my elementary school lessons. Even during my high school days, the colonies still had their presence on the map, albeit a diminishing one. However the USSR was at the top of its game, which made country geography a whole lot simpler!
10-am, time for a laundry check. It is now 10:30am, with a restarted computer and a coffee break behind me, but without progress on the laundry scene. There, the done load still sat unattended. I’ll give it until after lunch before I’ll retry my turn.
