Yesterday I was up and at it around six am and had already worked on marking up my essay on Manichaeism by this time. It was posted last night with a few corrections to come. Later in the morning I walked to Castell library to copy pages for my next talk. It is on aspects of Africa’s religions, which though many, appear to share much.
On the way home I picked up the half a dozen hold books on Africa that I had ordered last week. In the aft and the evening I dabbled a bit in the sources for my new intellectual adventure.
Religious tectonics you might say, at a time that the earth has started to reverse magnetic pole orientation. What timing!
My exploration of Africa’s religions will be my last one. After, I want to work on a perspective frame work for our own time. Since 2004 I have done studies and talks on all the major world religions. Now, has come the time for me to harvest the fruits of these studies and formulate a perspective for our modern time.
Humans have always painted those perspectives, but it has also always been one in interaction with the mystery in which we live and remain. However, times are a changing and today we face the situation where all these differing perspectives have to make room for one another. Religious tectonics you might say, at a time that the earth has started to reverse magnetic pole orientation. What timing!
