Yesterday was shopping day at Safeway and DJ’s and I spent about 120$$ as I’d drained my supplies with this date in mind. In the morning I visited Rene at his place for a coffee, while after supper Elisabeth and I met for an ice cream along 17th Ave SW. We chatted quite a bit as she walked me home from there, because we had not done so for a while.
In the evening I read a bit more in Parker Palmer’s “The Courage to Teach”, which I’d bought in Invermere last week. It is a very gentle book that prepares you for teaching and is the kind of book I need right now.
Palmer’s book deals with the teaching of humanity and social type subjects, discussing techniques and giving pointers that I can use.
I have taught theory and practice in the mapping disciplines and have learned about my own weaknesses in the process. I now aim to teach my own ideas about Existence Divine and our human situation, which is very different in subject matter. Palmer’s book deals with the teaching of humanity and social type subjects, discussing techniques and giving pointers that I can use. I’m half way at page 90!
Congratulations to my friend Herman, who celebrates his 82nd day of birth today. I wish him good health in this new year and good guidance in his preparation for the fall course on P.P. Quimby’s teachings and discoveries. PPQ was the founder of what later became ’New Thought’ and found its start with Mary Baker Eddy’s spreading the word.
