Diary: Autumnal variations and BlueNote considerations:

~~I compare words for this season in English, Dutch and German, then report on my visit with my friend Juliet and finish with analysing the process and purpose of the ‘BlueNotes’ that I am working on at present.~~

So here we are, into the first full day of the Autumn season. In Dutch you say ‘najaar’, for the fall, which translated means ‘after year’. Similarly in Holland you say ‘fore year’ when you say ‘spring’ in English. The word autumn is neither Dutch, English or Germanic, but is rooted in Latin. An other Dutch word for fall is ‘herfst’, which is close to the German ‘herbst’, but neither relate to the English ‘fall’.

Moving on from these language whilings, I note my visit with Juliet yesterday. I cooked our salmon, the sweet potatoes and the broccoli, while Juliet made us her yogurt drink and supervised my salad production, as we talked off and on. This was preceded by about an hour of transcribing Juliet’s “My Story” onto the computer.

Before this visit, I spent about an hour and a half marking up three daily entry files, which made it onto my website after supper just before CBC’s National. I closed my day with reviewing the remaining BlueNote entries that I aim to extract today and tomorrow, completing the ‘Teachings’ category of my BlueNote entries to which I still owe a title.

These notes came about as late night hand written notes, made when ever I had some thing to add to which I felt my talk in November should be about. However, under the guise of this intention, these notes have become a collection of many of my thoughts from over the years.

However, under the guise of this intention, these notes have become a collection of many of my thoughts from over the years.

I feel that this process is only partially complete as far as content is concerned, but is forming an overall structure at this stage today. This is why I am reviewing these note entries by means of making extractions, which intern will lead to a formed structure, as is my intention.

In that sense I am staking off the territory so to speak, whereas the cultivation within has to wait for later. I trust that the appropriate title will come when the time is ripe.
