Diary: Coffee bookshelf insight and blocked street:

~~Elisabeth and I meet for coffee, I find inspiration in the book store and encounter a police blocked fourth street at 15th Av.~~

This Thanksgiving weekend is shaping up to by nice weather wise with 20dC today and high teens for the rest, an always welcome condition this time of year. Yesterday Elisabeth and I had an animated coffee at Good Earth. That is a good activity to have in our lives as aging singles both with family experiences sharing the pleasant and the difficult.

A stop at ShelfLifeBooks and some browsing there made me realise that I need to pursue my ‘Eigen Weg’ - Own Way, which was also the impulse and inspiration I was trying to find among the books.

It became clear that I have to retrieve that motivating impulse from within myself and not from the book shelved books.

It became clear that I have to retrieve that motivating impulse from within myself and not from the book shelved books. With this important insight, found among the books all the same, I walked home for a late lunch.

The police had fourth street blocked at fifteenth ave with flashing trucks, cruisers and the huge ‘Accident Reconstruction’ van. No crushed cars, no ambulance, but a police SUV leaning into the sidewalk curb’s curve at the SE corner of the intersection. Only pedestrians could pass by along the west sidewalk of fourth, but strangely without any police personnel to be seen anywhere. An event not meant for the public’s notice, I surmised.

Writings: Thought tools continued:

~~I continue with yesterday’s cut short exposition on thought tools.~~

Yesterday’s writing was stopped abruptly in order to meet with Elisabeth on time. However, below is the rest of my train of thought.

Since formulated hermeneutics first, the relating thinking tool ‘auger’ should be positioned after ’s carpenter’s square, moving it from the sixth to the third position.

This rearrangement makes possible a sequencing of the methodology as follows. Plato and formulate a new framework for the human world of experience. Kant examines this and brings order in the house, followed by Schleiermacher whose method - the auger - allows for differing interpretations of ’s results. Hegel in turn then uses his dialectics - the crowbar - to examine the differing opinions and finding synthesis.

This gets tested by ’s ‘naked hand’ phenomenology or pure evidence based examinations. The resulting descriptions are then scrutinised by ’s language analysis - the fretsaw. Finally, the human figure itself steps in to deconstruct the results, leaving it ready for reconstruction again, the way Plato and Aristotle did back when.

A secondary note of mine is that Socrates was a deconstructionist of the Greek mythology framework.

I find the long time gap between the early Greek and the first Western philosopher Kant too large and propose to give the place of the Ancients. He was a Jesuit priest, who swung for the scientific method, constructing a whole new way of looking at the experience world of the human.

A secondary note of mine is that was a deconstructionist of the Greek mythology framework. This gave me the idea that we may have a cyclical process at hand, starting with a construction phase via the steps of the rearranged tools I just outline above, to a deconstruction phase. This is where we are today again and now we have to reframe our world of experience giving it a new home for our planet wide society.
