This weekend’s theme was ‘Christmas’, the Mass for Christ, in the sense of decorating, not so much ‘mass’. The stars went up on Friday night and on Saturday I found the lights and the old suitcase with decorations. The lights were lost for a while, because I had reorganised ‘things’ last year and relocated the lights.
But, after having given it some time, my intuition urged me to open clothes-drawer and there they were; ready and waiting! And to top it all off, last night I wrote the three christmas cards for my family in Holland, which I usually do late, if at all!
John and family are still camping out in their basement, while the work upstairs is progressing as planned. On Sunday I met up with my Palliser friends, where Herman had quite an inspiring presentation on the teachings of Jesus.
None of that surfaced yesterday, Herman was inspiring, delivering the teachings of Jesus as message for our time, literal, historical and true!
This time Jesus’ gospel accounts were referred to as recorded history with its message to the world. At other times Herman can interpret events, such as the birth of the ‘Christ child’ in a totally New Thought symbolic way. None of that surfaced yesterday, Herman was inspiring, delivering the teachings of Jesus as message for our time, literal, historical and true!
Last Friday morn I joined the ‘Free fall writing’ group at the Alexandra Center. This is always a spirited occasion as people get to write and then read their works to a live audience. I experience that as inspiring, as I feel validated in the way I write there for fun. It is a bit like an literary playground cum workshop, writing on that pop-up prompt that is presented to you with no pomp, at this circumstance! You see - hear - read - get what I mean?
