Christmas day celebration at Roy and Shirley was much an adult affair this year with Annie being the youngest. However, we all had fun with the game and enjoyed the turkey dinner, deserts in that welcoming hospitality ambience that is so typical for this family and its friends; sharing is the motto.
At 9-am Boxing Saturday morn I made it down to John, Tammy and Annie who are still in their cozy basement for two more weeks. They surprised me with some ’Opa’ presents from their Berlin trip yet. Opa is big in Germany and Annie even got me a ’Opa Snow Ball’. Very cute Annie! Thanks! I also got ’Ampel Manchen’ chocolate, the ambling man being the walk (green) and don’t walk (red) signs in Berlin, instead of the Indian stop hand and White man walk signs here in the West. And I am promised a much needed overhaul of my easy chair, which is a biggy! Wow!
On Sunday afternoon Elisabeth came over for a glass of her well chosen wine and a Christmas visit. My Mayan scarf for her was a well appreciated choice, such a personal choice item is always a bit of a gamble for me, but I’m learning.
For the evening I’d been invited to Rene’s and Eva for a Christmas hello and to see the decorations. Eva and I chatted quite a while, while Rene smoked and made some music. We also went about defining the difference between ‘lyrics’ and ‘melody’, which for Rene were a single concept. I always like visiting their place, because it’s a cozy place, decorated with much art, old from Rene and recent by Eva. Thanks guys and Happy New year.
Later today I hope to make it to London drugs to exchange Annie’s ‘amiibo’ boy present for the ‘Bad guy’, 'Ganondorf', she does not yet have!
Later today I hope to make it to London drugs to exchange Annie’s ‘amiibo’ boy present for the ‘Bad guy’, 'Ganondorf', she does not yet have! And I hope to connect with Don for a coffee and make it to Alexandra for a special ‘Free Fall’ session later this short week.
