Diary: Second last day notes:

~~I keep things short for this second last day of 2015 and declare yesterday’s writing draft one.~~

The last normal day of this year’s last month is here for me to fill with activities, either initiated or reacted in nature. Today I hope to do some writing at the Alexandra Centre and to visit Juliet later in the afternoon. And maybe … John and I will have a coffee or lunch, but he did not return my call yesterday, so he must be busy.

I did not leave my premises yesterday, but wrote, did paper sorting, vacuuming and removed most of my Christmas decorations.

I did not leave my premises yesterday, but wrote, did paper sorting, vacuuming and removed most of my Christmas decorations. My ‘Writings’ of yesterday did not pan out and needs to be redone. I was trying to address two topics at once, so some sober thinking is called for below. I will leave yesterday’s writing as it was, but call it a Draft; yes, there may be more to follow.

Writings: Yesterdays Writings regrouped:

~~I reassess my ‘Writings’ of yesterday, realising the various different concepts it presents need to be addressed separately.~~

The title is already in place this time, while it is usually the last thing I add, indicating that my objective is clear. I have a print out of yesterday’s ‘Writings’ draft beside me and intend to use my margin notes as guides for this regrouping.

The first two paragraphs of that draft address two relevant ideas that need to be addressed separately. The other problem is that my discussion of ‘boundary situation’ is not relevant at this time and place. It will have to be given a place of its own.

The draft’s first paragraph addresses my insight that reinterpretation of the ‘Birth of Jesus’ story has as consequence a reinterpretation of the Easter narrative and the way we view the Gospel and New Testament message. This warrants a separate title, which I will call ‘reinterpretation’ for now.

The second paragraph of yesterday’s draft addresses the fact that such reinterpretations recur throughout the history of all religions. The third and subsequent paragraphs support this idea with some examples warranting an independent treatment.

In the draft, this is then followed by several paragraphs on the ‘boundary situation’, which explain the condition under which such reinterpretation occurs. This is really a third topic to be expanded by itself.

Summarising I note that yesterday’s draft contains the germs of three separate ‘Writings’ if you like, …

Summarising I note that yesterday’s draft contains the germs of three separate ‘Writings’ if you like, each needing there own thesis and supporting paragraphs as I was taught in my essay writing classes at Mount Royal College back in 1995.

So I’ll have to regroup my thoughts on this, because I’m not just entertaining a second draft, but rather three relating little essays. Now, since my Alexandra writing session starts within an hour, I will now sign off.
