Elisabeth and I met at Waves yesterday afternoon for coffee, chatting and relating experiences. She did not make it to the mountains on her birthday, but saw a movie instead. In the mean time, in between time, I still have not even given her a birthday card, hence some action is called for on my part.

The grocery shopping got completed after I returned from my coffee with Elisabeth, which made it 4:45pm by the time I came home. That was time to start my dinner, which I usually have finished eating by around six pm.

In the evening I posted my Daily Entry, but still could not fix the malfunctioning return link from my new 2016 Yearlist, back to the Yearlist catalogue which lists all the years of my daily entries files. Try again today.

But, I’m not complaining because these weekly visits have become a welcome oases from my other activities.

But, today also is time to meet with Juliet and do some work on her ’My Story’, which still has several chapters to be completed by her. And we’ll have to exchange our holiday activities I addition to the shopping along the way over. Today I also want to send a birthday card off to Jan (NL), whose yearday is coming up in about ten days. As you can surmise, I a man of various actions beside my daily entries, webwork and snoozes not to forget!

Yesterday I discovered a second note page dating back to 1961 and it continues from where the first left off, completing my thoughts at that time. Where these two little pages came from, I don’t really know. I was pulling down a box of office supplies from the shelve in my second hanging cupboard, when these little pages fell to the floor on two separate occasions.

I recognised the little sheets from back then and recalled having some green one’s as well, but I never consciously stored them to keep. Yet this holiday season they appeared, the first one in late December and the second one just a few days ago this year.

Now, I’ll have to record what I wrote back in 1961, almost 55 years ago to the month, which is dated as 5 - 3 - ‘61 afternoon; “decide” it says on the page’s top and continues as follows:

Comment:
I am struck by the sentiment and ideas I express on these two small note pages so many years ago. It expresses values and ideas that I am working on now in my writings in these entries and also in my talks as these are taking shape since last November.

I will have more to add to this, but recalling yesterday’s writings on the exchange between my friend Jack and myself, it is clear that these ‘pink note thoughts’ are still front and centre with me as I work on my ‘live [sic] philosophy‘!
