Last Saturday morning I met with Shirley for a coffee and in the afternoon John brought over my newly upholstered chair! It sits like a throne, as far as I can know that! All re-stuffed too, which has noticeably improved the support in my back.
The pattern that Shirley Cook and I selected fits in well, but I do miss the outspoken variety of colours of the old pattern. The new pattern has more subtle tints, but I was looking for a change and that it is. So, a big thinks to Tammy and John for this must welcome, timely and practical present.
It - the chair - sits like a throne, as far as I can know that!
On Sunday afternoon Michelle and I had a good walk through Lindsay park and on the way back she treated us to a hot chocolate at the bakery beside “Wurst”, where we exchanged views and talked some family. In the evening I made good progress with the ’Magical College’ puzzle, which will now take not more then two Sunday evenings to finish.
Monday morning I took the bus to meet my former colleagues for breakfast and after wards Jim dropped me off at Sait. There I wanted to explore selling my computer books. In the aft I read in my new Tony Judt essay book, posthumously published by his wife.
Tuesday morning Elisabeth and I met for coffee at Wave on 5th and in the aft my delayed laundry got its turn. This aft Juliet and I will attend a lecture on Canada’s Native people, while I plan to meet Don on Thursday and Herman on Friday. Obviously my writing, studies and sorting are taking a back seat to all this socialising, but they are not forgotten.
