Diary: Catching up and my talk:

~~I relate my feelings about having made this talk and prepare to take up on my interrupted routine.~~

I’m back! My last entry was also on Monday, but two weeks ago on the leap-day of this year. Since then I was occupied with getting my thoughts and ideas aligned for yesterday’s presentation ‘A World Narrative’. It was only last Saturday evening that I had the formulation defined and practiced, as I always do.

The interesting reaction after completing that practice, was that it felt as if I’d passed a milestone, as a very unique sense of having achieved an important goal came over me.

The interesting reaction after completing that practice, was that it felt as if I’d passed a milestone, as a very unique sense of having achieved an important goal came over me. This unusual feeling and that sense of achievement persisted also after yesterday’s presentation to our small group at the Palliser, complete with two late comers on account of the switch to summer time:-)!

I know I’m not done and that yesterday’s presentation is only the start of what I want to convey, but still this feeling of having reached a milestone persists, along with the urge to keep going with the three remaining presentations for this year and beyond. Something has come to fulfilment for me, is the best way to describe how I feel.

In the mean time, I’ll now need to return to my daily routine of writing in the morning, sorting and cleaning in the aft and study in the evening. Not that it always works out this way, but this is my aspiration, which has worked reasonably well so far this year.

John is back from his meditation retreat this weekend and I look forward to having a coffee with him this week. Michelle is in Saskatchewan again for her ailing mother. Derrick called me a few days ago. He needed to put a dream memory in place from his childhood, with which I helped him as much as possible. Next is a call to Els for this week, a chat with Shirley, lunch with Herman and an Alexandra writing session, maybe.

I do have to post my talk’s audio file on my website and complete the B-side for Herman’s tape. This takes several hours, but I am getting the hang of it now. Herman’s tape is not long enough for my presentation, which I record on my RCA solid state recorder in MP3 format, with much room to spare. I then transfer the extra length part to the B-side of Herman’s tape.

For my website, I have to initiate this year’s presentation group of four talks, which initial setup requires some extra time as well. However, it is my self imposed task and hobby project that gives that feeling of satisfaction that comes from its accomplishments!

~~I explain my intention of an essay and the use of my last Sunday’s talk notes.~~

A short note is called for at this time. I plan to enter the ‘talk-notes’ from my ‘A World Narrative’ presentation on my website. I want to make those note a part of my intended essay on the same and therefore I will not enter it here, but refer to is instead by means of a link from here to its location.

I'm 'quoteless'

These ‘talk-notes’ will be the starting point for this intended essay, which will expand on that aural presentation of last Sunday at the Palliser.
