Not as early as my previous entry, but I was up and about digging out my 1998 Compaq Presario laptop. It is charging up right now. The purpose of all this is to test first, whether it will read my old floppies. It did a few years ago, but that is no guarantee for today. Then secondly I want use its USB port to transfer floppy files to my main computer. That is the plan for today.
But before I do all I plan to meet Elisabeth for a free coffee - what else - at the Bay. After I plan to ask her to come along to Winners to help me pick lounge pants and visit the nearby Dollarama store to look for dockets or folders for the writings I’m sorting through.
These lines from Porpoise Bay are twenty five (25) years hence, presenting a prime example of how our human thought processes circumambulate, before we can line them all up in ‘logical’ sequence.
And as I mention those writings, I made an interesting discovery last night while browsing some of them. I started reading the ca fifteen pages of the ‘Porpoise Bay’ BC collection dated August 1991. Halfway in I come across observations and comments about taking responsibility as humans for our own actions and its consequences.
I could have written those lines yesterday and I did write something like that just recently! These lines from Porpoise Bay are twenty five (25) years hence, presenting a prime example of how our human thought processes circumambulate, before we can line them all up in ‘logical’ sequence.
Yesterday Juliet read as I typed another page or so of her story. She is now into her experience of the separation of the Raj into India and Pakistan and is relating the deadly class violence during that time. After that was done we made two large salads together, good for at least a week. Then Juliet went on to make us a very tasty omelette with some rotis.
Very tasty Juliet, thanks. All in all, this made it my time to go on home at just past seven pm making for slow bus connections and got me home at about a quarter to eight, where Elisabeth’s coffee call awaited me!
