My last entry was still in the teen-dates and now I’m already in the forth of the twenties! On Friday the 20th I wrote ‘Free fall’ at the Alexandra centre with about half of the regulars showing, which gave us more time for our stories. I went by bus both ways and it is quite surprising to me how well that works from where I live in Mission.
John was going to come in the aft, but that was cancelled. Over the weekend I kept busy with the regular activities, such as coffee with Elisabeth, reading in my Congo book and visiting with my friends at the Palliser. Herman had an interesting presentation on Waldo Emerson, which was followed by a lively discussion.
I went to have breakfast with my retired colleagues, but I had the date wrong!
Yesterday was the May long weekend, Vicky day in the east. I went to have breakfast with my retired colleagues, but I had the date wrong! This did not stop me from having my favourite Eggs Benedict breakfast, while I contemplated my intuitive urge to make this miscued journey. Its outcome was that I ought do such things more often, just for the sake of self appreciation. Treat yourself for yourself in other words and not always with or for some one else!
