Diary: Wind in the back day:

~~Busy and rewarding day that started with laundry hold-ups and ended with a fixed computer back in place.~~

Yesterday was laundry day, which I usually mention, but not yesterday as I had to wait for someone who was doing a catch-up drier load twice in a row. On my way up the stair from one of those in vain laundry room visits I decided to check the mail. And, there it was! A small envelope from car2go with inside the much anticipated identification card. So, I was good to go with car2go!

'Wind in the back' is an expression that I learned from my friend Thomas, who uses it when all the pieces fall into place unexpectedly!

Then, to totally throw off my predictions, Memory Express phoned to let me know that my computer would be ready in the aft! Now, what to do about transport, bus or car? The former is for free, the latter costs 40cents a minute and would require a stop over, which keeps the meter running at that rate.

I decided to take my large empty blue suitcase on the bus and then look for a car2go for my return trip. That worked out well, in particular since it started to rain when I left the computer store! The total of the bill was my third surprise; I got eight $$ back! This because I had returned the new power supply which turned out not to be the problem.

In the shop Sokim reset the bios, re-seated the ram memory and installed a new chassis fan. The staff helped me with getting the computer case into my luggage container and then into my car2go, once I had found one and drove up. Thanks, guys! Great service and at total price of 100$$, taking the diagnostic deposit into account.

And with the laundry done and put away late in the day, I cooked myself a well deserved supper with a glass ‘Sawmill’ wine.
