Yesterday I managed to write a substantial expansion on my earlier writing titled ‘Old age advantage’ of a few days ago. I knew there was something more to write, but I could not find an angle of approach. This I found, while watching a carpenter across the street doing his tasks. ‘That man is constructing something inside the house’ I thought and as I did, I said to my self ‘I’m jealous of this guy, because of what he does and the purpose he has.’
Then, after a bit of associating I realised that if I wanted to construct something I had to get away from my habit of being analytical so often. Analysis is holding on to a critical attitude and that is a habit of mine.
I realised then and there that I had to do something constructive with my ideas…
I realised then and there that I had to do something constructive with my ideas and that insight prompted me to take up the writing I had planned, but now with the intent to write with construction in mind and mood, I may say.
The results can be read in yesterday’s ‘Writings’ on my website. But, I am not finished with what I started there and will work out some more ideas using my earlier reported ideas on ‘Concept Space’ some months and even years ago.
So far yesterday’s afternoon activities, in the morn I wrote the diary and after that went for a walk passed the Eberhardt Park community gardens taking a few shots with my Windows fone. On the way back I picked up some milk and the Globe at Safeway’s making my way home. Then, time for coffee and some reading, giving myself time to develop an approach to my intended writings, which still felt blocked.
Later today I plan to meet up with Herman for lunch to which we have invited Don to join us. This joined meeting is on account of Don lending us his newly minted ‘Jefferson Bible’ publication and our common, but diverse interests in this topic and man.
John sent me an email yesterday complete with a picture of the finished deck on his patio. It looks good. Well done son!
