Diary: Anticipations and talk outline:

~~Expecting Metta’s arrival, a physio visit and formulating an outline.~~

This is my last entry at 79, unless I break my custom of not writing on Saturday! Metta - formerly Derrick - plans to arrive today he texted, but that won’t be early, because the ferry takes quite a bit of time. I wish him a good and safe trip.

Yesterday I went for a physio treatment with Tim, which did me a lot of good. Tim is skilful, as well as thoughtful in his treatments and yesterday’s worked well for me. So, take a bow Tim!

This is my last entry at 79, unless I break my custom of not writing on Saturday!

Last night late I finally put together a rough draft narrative outline for my talk on Sunday. I have never been so unprepared for a talk, but I am going by my intuitions, working through some material and views of my own conviction which are requiring more gestation time than I expected.

I plan to use my writings below to give further expression to this mentioned narrative outline. For now, I want to get my walk in and buy a paper, because I suspect the rain will announce itself soon.

Writings: Narrative Outline:

~~A tentative outline formulated.~~

And back at 9:26am, my walk done, the paper purchased, all without a drop of rain! Now on to the rough outline for my up coming Birthday talk titled “Adding to Old Teachings II”.

Secondly we formulate our own human perspective on our humanity’s existence within the totality of Existence Divine.

Talk Outline: “Adding to Old Teachings II”

  1. Meditation: Paraphrase of Narrative I p.4,5; ‘Sacred Texts of the World’.
  2. The common additions: a. You are not alone [general tolerance]; b. validation of modern science results; c. a religion specific addition.
  3. Religion specific additions: Christianity: World charity [Talk I]; Talk II: Hinduism: Purity, structural re-examination; Buddhism: Renouncement re-examined; Islam: Re-engage to history.
  4. Combining results of talks I & II; our global situation is a state of flux; how to frame this experience. Change as fulcrum [pivot point].
  5. A trace of human ‘history’ to show the continuity of change from 60kya to today and the guidance that religions provided to human conduct and functioning. (Reference the Zoroastrian meditation.)
  6. How to proceed today?
First we use the results after 60ky of development as basis to define our human own responsibility. Secondly we formulate our own human perspective on our humanity’s existence within the totality of Existence Divine. [Framework to accommodate humanity’s religions, philosophies and ideologies.]
