, Thursday. Clear, extra cold, bright, no wind and many plumes!

Diary: Coldness visits without lunch:

~~Trial by cold snappers, visits and Herman un-lunched.~~

It is around minus 23dC today! Since Monday the temps have dropped to twenty below normal, which is around zero! But, I’ve experienced cold like this in October, while this year’s November was even gentle. So, we did have our share of good weather and this cold period of two weeks is nature’s reminder that ‘Yes, winter is here!’

Juliet keeps adding chapters to her book; …

Yesterday I visited my MD in the morning and Juliet in the aft for typing and dinner. Juliet keeps adding chapters to her book; I think that is because she thinks it is too thin or her story too short. Both trips left me cold, because I should have worn a good sweater underneath my new winter coat. I’d thought is would be warm enough by itself.

No lunch with Herman today. He cancelled a second time, this time on account of a future move out from his existing place! There is apparently still asbestos in that building from the sixties. This has to be cleared out as per notice from the insurance company, not the building owner! I suspect that today’s weather may also be a factor.

Anyway, this will give me extra time to do some more sorting, which has been left undone the last few days and maybe John will call for a coffee if he comes this way for his meeting.

Writings: Mandala colouring as symbol:

~~I muse on my feeling that the mandala’s colour design and my sorting cum formulation process parallel one another.~~

The process of sorting is starting to feel like the colouring I did for my large mandala from 1973 during the year of 2013, completing it. A 8-½ by 11 inch framed photo now has taken the place of ’s ballerina poster. I had it mounted in 1994 and kept it displayed until just a few weeks ago.

The mandala colouring process involved a gathering of all the colours in my set, as well as a balancing of the composition preventing is from losing its structure and yet not become a predictable symmetry.

This gathering cum keeping process seems to be on intellectual parallel to the mentioned craft and design process of …

At this I succeeded, but now the sorting and also gathering cum keeping process seems to be an intellectual parallel to the mentioned craft and design process that this colouring was. I am working in the background of all this on the mentioned ‘formulation of a framework for reconciliation of religions’, as I mentioned in last Monday’s daily entry.

I hope that I am right about this parallel process and that my formulation will be as well composed and interesting at my coloured mandala! John just texted me and we’ll meet at eleven!
<9:54am~
