We have a few mild days right now, but lower temps and snow will accompany our Christmas celebrations. Yesterday was busy with a visit to the med lab, then ShelfLifeBooks for Annie’s book, the still closed library and the Lindt store on the way home. By that time it was well past twelve and I had to get going to meet Don at the Kingsland cum Macleod market for one pm.
At Kingsland Don and I met up, where I had some soup and bread for lunch, we chatted about friends, politics and economics
There we connected and I had some soup and bread for lunch, followed by much conversation about friends, politics and economics. Don spends his Christmas dinner with his sons in-laws, like I do. At the market a bought some veggies and my second Mayan shirt from Casa Corazon. Don drove me home and we exchanged cards and best wishes. Don used to spend the winters in the states to the South, but that time is now in the past.
Tomorrow I plan to meet Herman for lunch and to visit Juliet after that, instead of today, while today and Friday are open for some more shopping and the cards which I still have not done:-)! My mood is set otherwise, while last year I was early.

The writing of Christmas cards always brings up not well understood emotions with me, which may go back to the time of my early emigration - 1959/63 - when I wrote often to my parents - my Mam mainly. I may have stumbled on a connected here while writing about it. I’ll see.
