Yesterday, breakfast with old colleagues, eight of us, with Art back after his fall and recuperation since last fall. Slipping on the house steps while getting the paper! But, he was in good cheer and we were glad to see him and his wife Eileen, who is colleague as well!
On my return trip I walked home from downtown as the family day transit service was not that frequent and I wanted to enjoy the walk in the nice weather. However, the planned stops at the book and chocolate places were pre-empted by the holiday closure. So, I made my stop at the new Second Cup at 17th and 4th and had a hot chocolate there!
In the evening I got started with locating and perusing my sources related to my up coming talk 'Humanity’s Sacredness'.
It was almost lunch time when I came home and skipped my lunch, but had a good snooze. Then some shopping at Safeway and reading the paper. In the evening I got started with locating and perusing my sources relating to my up coming talk “Humanity’s Sacredness”.
And this morning, while waiting for my cereal to cook, I located some sought for sources in my bedroom book cases, which included two favourites. They are Eliade’s “The Sacred & The Profane” and Berger’s “The Sacred Canopy”. I also have the book titled “The Age of Sacred Terror” by Benjamin and Simon. So, lots of sacredness to pursue to which I’ll have to add my own intended contributions and views.
