Yesterday a week ago I made my most recent Daily Entry, all on account of my preparing for my talk for which I did write an essay. That is more than I have done for most of my talks and it made me feel ‘accomplished’. It was for me a case if putting my own thoughts and insight in order and ‘on paper’, as opposed to organising read material that other authors produced. I did refer to about four authors, but all in support of my own thoughts and interpretation.
The audience was half a dozen hearers making a total of nine if I include the ‘crew‘. I was happy to see my friend Thomas again after several weeks of absence. My presentation went well and was appreciated, as I tried to show that there is much sacred in our daily lives, but we have to look for it.

Herman left me a message saying that the feared move will take place this week. Eight thousand books plus the regular household items will move onto the next door building’s twelfth floor from the present tenth floor. Moving up in the world, but with a lot of disruption. I wish him and Denise fortitude, a smooth move and resettlement.
Last Sunday afternoon I met with Shirley for a tea at ‘David’s Tea’, lots of tea there, but a poor venue. Shirley was down and wanted to relate and I hope that the listening helped. Later that afternoon too, Elisabeth and I met at the Wave Coffee. She was just back from her three months stay in India and was full of stories about where she went and what she saw, recalling many names of the places she visited.
Yesterday Juliet cancelled our meeting as she is recovering from an in house fall during this weekend. She hurt her nose but seems o.k. otherwise. We agreed tentatively to meet this coming Wednesday. This aft Don and I plan to meet at Chinook and around supper time Michelle will be so kind to drive me to Ikea for a candle re-supply.
