I got up at seven am and am only now - an hour and a half later - at my station! Compare this with when I was still teaching at SAIT, I’d be up at 6:45am and stand before the class at 8:00am! But, now I do at least about half an hour of exercise and personal care that I did not do then and I never had coffee at home, only when I got to work later; I am retired now!
Yesterday’s MD visit was stretched out due to much waiting. I arrived at 10:15am, but did not get home until noon, all for a ten minute examination. While waiting I read some in my Globe and did some extra exercises. After lunch and a snooze I got started on the Christmas cards in that I put things ready. Today I want to send the cards for overseas, even if I have to force that a bit. Next are the national ones, with the Left Coast being first.
In the evening I posted my daily entry and installed John’s MS-Office software which he can share with family. Thanks John. John and I also had coffee earlier at 2-pm. Besides all this I cooked my dinner, did the dishes and shopped for cards; so, a day well spent I say to myself!
Els topped that list as usual and now that is past for the first time as she died last November the 18th. ‘No more cards for Els’ is my new reality.
Getting started with those Christmas cards yesterday, I looked for last year’s mail list. Els topped that list as usual and now that is past for the first time as she died last November the 18th. ‘No more cards for Els’ is my new reality. I want to put Oltjan, Els’ oldest son in that place, but I will write some other cards first, because I got stuck yesterday on trying to write him first. I also have to get some overseas stamps and may do that first this morning clearing my head with a short outdoor walk.
