Today is a double-day, because the first day of the week, Sunday, was designated as the first day of the week when Christianity was adopted by the Roman Empire as the state’s religion. It was the day of Christ’s arising. Now that was yesterday, but today on Monday we celebrate Christmas day which commemorates the birth of Christ onto this earth.
Therefore, I call this day from now on Earthday instead of Monday as the first day of the week, each week 52 times per year each year.
Now as this birth event is often considered to symbolise the birth of a new conscious awareness, we could then ask what that consciousness would be for today. What is this new awareness that we humans on this earth must become aware of today? It is that humanity in its totality has become responsible for life on and the state of this planet Earth. Therefore, I call this day from now on Earthday instead of Monday as the first day of the week, each week 52 times per year each year.
The moon we have landed on, so it no longer requires to be worshipped as a goddess, while the place of the sun is well understood in relation to our planet. What we don’t understand all that well is how we should manage to have beneficial dominion over this earth. This is our new responsibility requiring much dedication, which is the same as worship in the fashion of the handed down traditions of humanity.
Hence ‘Earthday4Monday’ to remind us of our new responsibility as humanity. This could be made into a ‘hashtag’ but I maintain and publish on my own website and don’t want the interaction of a ‘hashtag’.
